This is an excellent project, quite factual and with the original material being used.
Students can read about the poem codes themselves and then try using them. Alternatively the teacher can lead them into it.
It is a very popular project with all ages from Year 9, 10, and 11 students.
The movie fits in very well. There is a clip about half way through in which Violette is prepared for her second trip into occupied France. She is given her poem code and briefed for her parachute drop. It sets the scene very well.
The project can be given over a week to do with some classtime and homework time.
